As the owner of Barefoot Studio, I would like to thank you for visiting my website.

    My name is Vanessa Churco. My passion for art began when I was just a little girl painting alongside my grandmother, who painted beautiful works of art in oils. It was only natural for me to continue my love of art and share it with others.

      Studying with many accomplished artists and learning the techniques for faux artistry has inspired me to create unique finishes of my own. I work with many mediums such as luxurious plaster finishes like LusterStone and Venietan plaster, multi layered glazes, foil and metallics. I also provide cabinetry glazing, faux bois (wood graining) and custom painted murals. Each client receives a custom finish that is created especially to suit their decor.   

    The name "Barefoot Studio" was an obvious choice for me. Should you see me working, I am almost always barefooted! There are three reasons I paint barefooted. First and foremost it is more comfortable! Secondly, when I am trying to reach that top corner of the ceiling, I can use my feet to grip the tippy -top of the ladder. Last and most important if I accidently step in paint, and believe me it happens, I KNOW IT!  Nobody likes to track paint through the house. Unless it is freezing cold or the construction zone won't allow it, I will be kicking off my flip flops!
